Unai Emery has asked to bring in the versatile winger and wants to secure his signature but other clubs show their hands

Lucas Vázquez is another player who is heading for the exit door at Real Madrid this summer. Without his options further limited in attack after the flurry of initial new signings, Zinedine Zidane has told the winger he's up for sale. Despite a bit-part role at Real Madrid, Vazquez is still wanted by a host of European clubs but Unai Emery wants to bring him to Arsenal before other team's show their hands.

Madrid want €40m for the versatile winger and the 'Gunners' have stumped up €32m so far. Negotiations remain ongoing and the player is open to joining the Premier League team. He'd earn €8m per season - €4.5m more than he currently earns at Madrid - according to OK Diario. The main objective for Lucas is to be part of Spain's squad for Euro 2020.

Bayern, PSG and Inter are all keen on Lucas

Vázquez is also wanted by Bayern Munich, PSG and Inter Milan but Arsenal remain in pole position to close a deal after making the first move.

The arrivals of Jovic, Hazard and Rodrygo further limit the potential playing time for Lucas at Real Madrid. This is alongside Benzema, Vinicius, Isco, Asensio and Brahim who were already at the club. Mariano and Bale are both expected to leave the Santiago Bernabeu this summer too.
