Los Blancos trained at Valdebebas for first time since March on Monday

Real Madrid returned to training on Monday at 10am local time with players taking part in individual sessions at the club's Valdebebas base.

It's the first time the squad has trained since March, when La Liga was suspended indefinitely and a basketball player at Madrid tested positive for coronavirus.

Madrid have proposed using their training ground for their matches when the league resumes next month behind closed doors as work is carried out their Bernabeu home.

Eden Hazard was one of the players training on Monday. The Belgian could be the big benefactor of this stoppage. He underwent surgery on March 5 and thought he'd said goodbye to the season.

However, Luka Jovic was not involved. The striker picked up an injury while in lockdown and is not yet able to resume training.
