Madrid coach Zidane also tested positive for the virus in January

Real Madrid have confirmed that president Florentino Perez has tested positive for coronavirus, the club confirmed on Tuesday.

Perez, 73, is not displaying any symptoms and tested positive having carried out regular tests during recent months.

A statement said: "Real Madrid C. F. would like to inform that our president Florentino Perez has tested positive in the COVID-19 tests that he periodically undergoes, although he is not showing any symptoms."

Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane also currently had coronavirus and has not been able to sit on the bench for the club's last two matches.
