The German club are resigned to losing the Norwegian striker this summer and want a quick deal

Real Madrid have taken a step forward in the bid to sign Erling Haaland. The Dortmund general director, Hans-Joachim Watzke, will travel to the Spanish capital this week to negotiate with Florentino Perez, per Ramon Alvarez de Mon. He says the meeting is imminent and the transfer could be done this week.

Madrid were unsure about what to do with Haaland given they still have a red hot Karim Benzema, but it seems Perez has decided that the will still move for the Norwegian.

Dortmund want to close the deal as soon as possible, with the fee 75 million euros. They would then be able to make their replacement signing quicker too, with Karim Adeyemi the target.

Haaland returned from injury this weekend and is the hottest prospect in world football, along with Kylian Mbappe, two players set to dominate for a decade. And Madrid could get both.
