Isco's told Madrid he wants to leave to win back place in Spain squad

Isco Alarcon has reportedly decided it's time to end his stay at Real Madrid. He arrived in the 2013-14 season and has won everything with the club.

However, he's in a difficult situation ahead of the European Championships next summer and wants to ensure he's in the Spain squad. And according to the journalist Fabrizio Romano, who works for The Guardian and Sky Sports, he's waiting for a call from Pep Guardiola.

"Isco's fream is to play for Pep," Romano said on social media. "He's the perfect player for Guardiola's style of play."

Whether Guardiola wants him or not is another issue, although the departure of David Silva last summer has left a vacancy at Manchester City, a club that has shown an interest in Isco in the past.

Isco has a contract until 2022 and at 22 still has a lot of football left in him. But, for now, Real Madrid own him and his release clause is 700 million euros. Los Blancos will listen to offers due to his drop in performances and his lack of committment, but they won't give him away -- especially not a direct rival in European football.

City are not Isco's only possible destination. Everton, Inter Milan and Sevilla are interested in him. His future is in the air and the only thing he wants is to play before the Euros and to force his way back into Luis Enrique's Spain squad.
