Marcelo, Varane, Vallejo & Carvajal are all missing

Real Madrid host Real Valladolid on Saturday with a number of defenders missing. The latest to be ruled out is Dani Carvajal, who has not recovered in time and trained on his own on Friday. In addtion to the right-back, Santiago Solari is also without Raphael Varane, Marcelo and Jesus Vallejo.

For that reason, the stand-in coach is looking at a back four of summer signing Odriozola, Nacho, Sergio Ramos and Reguilón. The alternative in the middle of defence is Javi Sanchez, the reserve team defender who did well in the Copa del Rey game against Melilla.

Meanwhile, Solari also has problems in attack, albeit different problems, given Mariano's the only absentee. After Vinicius' notable performance in the cup, the Argentine must decide if he gives him a chance in La Liga or sticks with Gareth Bale, Karim Benzema, Isco and/or Marco Asensio.
