Zidane is struggling to name a full squad of first team players after Bale, Marcelo and Hazard were ruled out

Real Madrid have named their squad list for the match against Espanyol at the Santiago Bernabeu on Saturday and it's missing a lot of big names. Zinedine Zidane is running short on numbers and even the usual backup brigade such as Nacho, Mariano and Vazquez aren't ready to play yet.

Brahim returns to Madrid's squad after a lengthy absence himself. Bale, Asensio, James, Hazard and Marcelo are all ruled out of the Espanyol game and are serious doubts for the next few fixtures too. Only Marcelo and Bale have a chance of returning in time for El Clasico.

Full squad list:

Goalkeepers: Courtois, Areola and Altube.

Defenders: Carvajal, Militão, Sergio Ramos, Varane, Odriozola and Mendy.

Midfielders: Kroos, Modric, Casemiro, Valverde, Brahim and Isco.

Forwards: Benzema, Jović, Vinicius Jr. and Rodrygo.

Real Madrid are currently unbeaten at the Santiago Bernabeu this season.
