Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos did not suffer any serious damage to his left knee in Sunday's 4-2 win at Espanyol, tests have revealed.

Ramos, who scored Madrid's second goal in the game, damaged his knee in a clash in the first half and was taken off at the break.

Tests on Monday revealed that Ramos only suffered a slight knock and will be available for upcoming games.

Despite the good news, though, coach Santiago Solari is still expected to resth him in the Copa del Rey game at Girona on Thursday.

Madrid also have Gareth Bale back. The Welshman came off the bench to score the fourth goal at Espanyol.
