Los Blancos are now in a position where they could claim the LaLiga title before the final day of the season. Any slip up from Barça against Osasuna would see Zidane's side crowned champions. If Barça win, Madrid will have to match that result against Villarreal to guarantee top spot. If they were to slip up themselves, then everything would go to the final day of the season.
Zidane has guided his team to nine straight victories since the restart. Not all of those matches have been convincing wins but wins none the less. VAR played its part too. They struggled against Granada but had Courtois and Ramos to thank for maintaining their 100% record.
If it goes to the final day, Madrid will face a likely already-relegated Leganes whereas Barça will take on relegation-threatened Alaves.
