They want a meeting with the forward and his agent looking to the future

Gareth Bale is in a cul-de-sac at Real Madrid. He has two years left on his deal and has made it clear he will not leave because he is happy at Madrid, via his agent Jonathan Barnett.

Those who are not so happy are the club and fans, who pay his enormous wages, which are so big no other side could dream of paying them.

Madrid want to meet Bale in the next few days along with Barnett, per Defensa Central. The situation is unsustainable. Zidane doesn't need him and wants Bale to go. But nobody wants him.

Another year in the first team without giving anything to the group bar golf-related controversy beckons. He's ready for his ninth seasons at Real Madrid, without learning Spanish or integrating into the dressing room.

Madrid lost the chance to sell him when Jose Mourinho wanted him at Manchester United. Florentino chose to sell Cristiano Ronaldo instead, as he didn't want to double his salary, which the Portuguese was asking for. It was an error.

Bale earns 15m euros a season net, the highest salary in the squad. He lives like a king, surrounded by luxury and does what he likes. Zidane didn't even call him up to travel for the game against Man City which saw Madrid eliminated from the Champions League.

He's 31 and losing his best attributes - his pace and strength. Madrid are at the level of total frustration with Bale.
