The Spanish club will spend over 60 million euros on the Serbian striker

Real Madrid have completed the signing of Serbian striker Luka Jovic from Eintracht Frankfurt, the La Liga club confirmed on Tuesday.

Madrid have not confirmed the cost of the transfer, but it's thought to be worth around 60 million euros with another five million due in potential add-ons.

Benfica, Jovic's former club, will receive around 25 percent of the final fee.

"Real Madrid and Eintracht Frankfurt have reached an agreement for the transfer of Luka Jovic, pending a medical," a statement from the Spanish club read.

"The player will be linked to the club for the next six seasons, until June 30, 2025."

Jovic, 21, had an impressive season, scoring 27 goals in 48 appearances as the Bundesliga side reached the Europa League semifinal, where they lost to eventual winners Chelsea on penalties.

Madrid describe Jovic as a "powerful footballer, technical and with a great shot. He's good with both feet and an excellent finisher."

After coming through at Red Star, where he made his first-team debut in 2013-14, he moved to Benfica, where he played for the B team and the first team.

But it's in Germany where he's made his name. During a two-year loan spell -- Frankfurt made the move permanent earlier this year -- Jovic has caught the attention of Europe's biggest clubs.
