The defender is currently out injured anyway and will miss the Liverpool game on Wednesday

Real Madrid have confirmed that captain Sergio Ramos has become the latest player at the club to test positive for coronavirus.

Madrid's players were tested ahead of this week's game against Liverpool -- a game Ramos was due to miss due to injury anyway.

Therefore, it's not a problem for Zinedine Zidane, who has been without Ramos and Raphael Varane -- who also has coronavirus -- for Madrid's recent games.

Ramos becomes the ninth person assosicated with Madrid's first team to contract the virus. In addition to Varane, Mariano Díaz, Militao, Casemiro, Eden Hazard, Luka Jovic, Nacho Fernández and coach Zidane have also tested positive in the past.
