Real Madrid 4-1 Sevilla: Ronaldo double edges Los Blancos closer to title

Ronaldo scored twice after Nacho had opened the scoring in controversial style

Jovetic missed a host of chances before eventually getting Sevilla back in the game

Real Madrid are four points away from the La Liga title after they beat Sevilla 4-1 at the Santiago Bernabeu on Sunday.

Zinedine Zidane's side know that a win and a draw from their remaining two games -- away against Celta Vigo and Malaga -- will guarantee a first league title for Los Blancos since 2012.

Madrid raced into a two goal lead against Sevilla, although the opening goal came in controversial circumstances. Nacho Fernandez fired a quick free-kick past Sergio Rico, while six visiting players had their backs turned. Despite the protests of the Sevilla players, the goal stood.

Cristiano Ronaldo then doubled the home side's lead when he scored his 400th goal for the club, tapping home from close range after Rico could only parry James Rodriguez's shot.

Sevilla had plenty of chances of their own, though. Stefan Jovetic hit the woodwork twice and Keylor Navas was forced into a number of saves as Madrid got to half time with their two-goal lead in tact.

Eventually Jovetic did score, briefly bringing Sevilla back into the game before Madrid went on to win it in style.

Ronaldo thumped home his second of the game with a glorious first time finish from just inside the box, before Toni Kroos capped a fine team move by sliding the ball past Rico.
