The Real Madrid defender spoke about the games ahead as La Liga resumes

Raphael Varane spoke after the first training session Madrid had divided in two groups, and said the players are buzzing to get back into action.

"We are really looking forward to playing, our job is our way of being and we always want to compete. It's been a long time since we played football so we're looking forward to it and want to win it all, like always," Varane told Real Madrid TV.

Madrid are second in La Liga, two points behind Barca, with 11 weeks to go and they need to overcome Man City in the Champions League at 2-1 down if they want to win a trophy.

"We're getting better every day, we're working a lot physically and getting good feelings back and improving tactically. Above all, we're finding our sensations again," he added.

"We have to work a lot physically to have better sensations on the ball and keep getting it back tactically and in terms of movement to be good and compete when we can be together."
