The Japanese wideman is there for a year with no option to buy

Villarreal have made Takefusa Kubo's arrival at the club official. The Japanese winger, on loan from Real Madrid, shone for Mallorca last season.

Kubo arrives on loan for the season with no option to buy for Villarreal. They needed to bring in players after losing Santi Cazorla and Bruno.

New coach Unai Emery wanted Kubo to come and got his desire fulfilled.

The Japanese player had a lot of offers but Villarreal were the best for the player and Real Madrid.

Kubo, 19, scored four goals for Mallorca and provided four assists. He played for Barca's youth academy then in 2016 went back to his homeland to play for FC Tokyo and Yokohama Marinos. Then he signed for Madrid in 2019.
