The Real Madrid defender spoke about his side's poor start to the season

Real Madrid defender Nacho Fernandez spoke about coach Julen Lopetegui and said the team are with him 'to the death'.

In an interview with EFE, Nacho commented about situation at the Bernabeu now, where Madrid have gone four games without scoring.

"They are moments. Now it's hard for us to get on top, it seems that everything's going the other way and our opponents are taking advantage of every little thing we do in defence. Up front it's hard to find freshness, lack of goals, when normally we easily score. These two weeks will do us well, to clear our heads, return stronger and change the dynamic."

On Ronaldo leaving, Nacho said: "At the start of the season we scored a lot of goals and nobody remembered Cristiano Ronaldo, who started at Juve without scoring a goal, and now they say it's because he left Madrid are not scoring. Everything changes in football.

"Cristiano was very important for us because in the end he scored 50 goals a season, but we don't have any blame and we can't live in the past. We have to move forward with what we have, which is a very good squad and we're ready for anything."

Nacho didn't understand why Lopetegui is being questioned when "we're two points behind the leader and in all the competitions. In football and more so at Real Madrid, everything you go through is multiplied by a thousand. When you draw or lose at Madrid it seems like a crisis. Wehn you go four games, it seems everything is ending.

"We're calm and with thecoach to the death. We've been in worse situations and always have been capable of moving forward. I can't say we'll win all the titles but Real Madird has shown that with the coach and players they have they will fight for everything. We will be there until the end."
