The Athletic captain was angry with the decisions in Madrid loss

Athletic Club forward Iker Munian fumed at more VAR decisions falling in Real Madrid's favour as his side lost 1-0 at San Mames on Sunday.

Sergio Ramos' second half penalty was enough to earn the three points for Madrid but the win was not without controversy.

Madrid's penalty, for a Dani Garcia foul on Marcelo, was given after referee Gonzalez Gonzalez referred to the pitchside monitor to make his decision.

However, the official did not apply the same criteria just moments later when Ramos stamped on Raul Garcia in the box at the other end.

"Raul Garcia's been stamped on and they haven't even revised it, that's the difference" a bemused Muniain said after the game in Bilbao.

"We've seen the theme in these weeks since the restart, depending on which teams it is, some decisions are given. Everyone can draw their own conclusions."

Madrid moved seven points clear of Barcelona with the win. Quique Setien's side are in action later on Sunday at Villarreal.

Since the restart, Madrid have had huge decisions go in their favour, above all against Real Sociedad, but also Eibar, Valencia and Getafe. Now Athletic are the latest club to feel hard done by.
