Zinedine Zidane doesn't want him to leave in January

Malaga, Alaves and Valencia want him on loan

Marcos Llorente returned to Real Madrid last summer after a brilliant season with Alaves and was predicted to get minutes as Casemiro's understudy.

In the Basque Country he played 38 times, helping Alaves get to the Copa del Rey final, where they lost to Barcelona. This season, though, he has started just four games -- two of them in the cup, against Fuenlabrada.

Only centre-back Jesus Vallejo has featured less, but in his case he has missed games through injury and suspension.

Zinedine Zidane has not given Llorent opportunities, not even when Casemiro has been injured or suspended. The French coach has instead preferred Kovacic or a resturctured midfield with Modric and Kroos in a double pivote.

Therefore, Llorente would like to leave, even though Zidane wants him in the squad.

Alaves, Malaga and Valencia would all be interested in a loan deal in January. Llorente is keen to take on a new challenge in the second half of the season, but is waiting on Madrid's word.
