Mendes has asked Real Madrid to let James Rodriguez leave the club

According to 'Il Mattino', the player's agent has met with Madrid and let them know his client wants to leave the club this week

There's a new twist in the tale between James Rodriguez and Real Madrid. After the Colombian started match against Valladolid, his agent - Jorge Mendes - met with Real Madrid, according to 'II Mattino'.

Mendes message was clear: James wants to leave Madrid this week. Apparently the midfielder, who Zidane tried to sell all summer, wants to link up with Carlo Ancelotti again at Napoli.

There were two options given to Madrid by the super agent. One, send James out on loan for a season with an obligation to make the transfer permanent in 2020 for €42m. The other option is for Madrid to reduce their asking price to €35m and James would leave on a permanent deal this summer.
