The Brazilian was pleased with his team's performance at Alaves
Marcelo was pleased with Real Madrid's 2-1 win at Alaves that sends them top of La Liga.
"In these games you win the league," said the Brazilian defender. "Each game, each point is decisive and in a league so hardly-fought we have to play 100 per cent, always.
"In these grounds the fans do everything against Real Madrid, it was a really tough game, with fouls and kicks. These are the type of games that we like (he said sarcastically), with the cold, blows and kicks.
"Football is not just knowing how to play well. We have to know how to play without the ball and react.
"We always have the same idea, the change is the perception of those outside the club. When results are good we're more motivated but when they're not so good you have to be just as positive. Nothing changes compared to when we don't win, we have to keep working just the same."
