Zidane's confirmed the problem is worse than Madrid first thought

Eden Hazard is still injured. "It's proved more than we thought," Zinedine Zidane said on Tuesday. MARCA have revealed that Belgian will not be ready for the Clasico at Camp Nou on Saturday and that he will not be fit again until after the international break in November.

What at first seemed a minor problem has developed into an injury that will not see Hazard return to action for Madrid in the second half of November.

That means he will have spent almost a year without playing for Madrid due to a number of injury problems since he joined from Chelsea for 160 million euros in the summer of 2019.

He had surgery on an ankle injury last winter but did reappear after the lockdown, only to play a few games before getting injured again.

His latest injury on Sept. 29 didn't seem serious but it means he will not feature in the Clasico and is set for several more weeks on the sidelines.

In total, he has made 22 appearances for Madrid -- all last season -- and scored one goal.
