Madrid's Ancelotti: It was a bad result but we can go through in Barcelona
The Clasico Copa del Rey semifinal will be decided at Camp Nou on April 5
Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti spoke to 'Movistar+' after the first leg of the Copa del Rey semi-final against Barcelona and described the 1-0 defeat as "very bad."
"It's not deserved on our part," he said. "For intensity and commitment. We allowed Barcelona to play the way they wanted to play, with a very low block. And it was difficult to generate chances.
"We tried on the outside, but they have a very strong defence. We crossed a lot, but we did not have any success."
Even so, the Italian coach is optimistic ahead of the return leg at the Spotify Camp Nou: "What we did today gives me confidence. If we can do the same in Barcelona, I think we have a chance to go through."
Finally, the Real Madrid boss gave his opinion on the Vinicius-Araujo duel. "I don't want to focus on the individual clashes, because we played a complete game that we have to repeat in the second leg. It's a missed chance, but we have 90 minutes ahead of us."
