He could be sent to court for something that he allegedly did in 2008

Raúl González Blanco, the Real Madrid icon and current coach of RM Castilla, is one step away from being tried for an economic crime and will continue to be investigated for punishable insolvency, misappropriation and corporate crime.

Per El Mundo in 2008 bankrupt one of his companies to avoid a debt and because of that, is said to have committed the above crimes.

The judges revoked the attempt to close the case of the former player and ordered the process against him to continue. The company Aurantia claims from Raúl a debt of 7.17 million euros, excluding interest, for a failed investment in a renewable energy project in Cádiz.

They accuse him of emptying his Europe Scar Sport (ESS) asset company to save paying the debt. So far, the Madrid legend has claimed that he did not commit any irregularities.

Aurantia have also denounced his brother-in-law Carlos Redondo and his mother, Maria Luisa Blanco, whom he named the sole administrator of the bankrupt company after moving the assets to other companies.
