Levante 2-2 Real Madrid: Zidane's side crumble twice

Madrid are 18 points behind Barcelona, who face Espanyol Sunday

Real Madrid twice went ahead against Levante and twice let that lead slip, with Giampaolo Pazzini scoring on his debut to earn the hosts a deserved point.

The Italian, 33, netted an 89th minute equaliser when he beat Keylor Navas, who got a hand to his strike but could not keep it out.

Sergio Ramos, making his first league start since December because of injury, sent Madrid ahead when he headed home Toni Kroos' corner, but Emmanuel Boateng equalised before the interval.

Ramos allowed Morales to beat Madrid's offside trap and though his shot was saved, Boateng tucked the ball home from outside the box with Navas in no-man's land.

Zidane took off Gareth Bale for Isco, and it paid off, with the playmaker finishing in the 81st minute after Karim Benzema teed him up.

Then he took off Cristiano Ronaldo, who wasn't happy about it, and Madrid conceded, with another substitute - Pazzini - applying the finising touch.
