Latest installment of Pérez tapes: "Cristiano is an imbecile and Mourinho is abnormal"

The media outlet 'El Confidencial' has today published the third installment of its leaked tapes of Real Madrid's president, Florentino Pérez. In the latest leak, Pérez criticises Cristiano Ronaldo and José Mourinho. Yesterday, the same outlet published another installment of recordings in which the Madrid supremo was caught insulting club legends Iker Casillas and Raúl González.

Unlike the previous leaks, which were recorded in 2006, Pérez's comments about the Portuguese duo date back to two separate conversations in 2012. In the latest audio, Pérez can be heard criticising José Mourinho, who was head coach at the time, as well as the squad's star player from the era, Cristiano Ronaldo.

"He's crazy. This guy is an imbecile. He's not right. You think that he is a normal guy, but he's not normal [at all]. If he were normal, he wouldn't do all the things that he does. The whole world saw the last nonsense he did. Why do you think he does it?" expressed Florentino Pérez about the Portuguese forward.

The Madrid president also went on to criticise the player's representative, Jorge Mendes, and complained further about Ronaldo: "Mendes doesn't have any control over [Cristiano]. Neither does he have any control over Mourinho. He has zero sway. Not even in interviews. They don't give a damn what he says. These guys have a horrible ego. Both he and the coach are spoiled. They don't see the reality, because they could both earn much more money if they were otherwise inclined.

Pérez continued: "These two guys are abnormal. We are talking about a lot of money with regards to image rights. Furthermore, with their [arrogant] faces and their defiant manner, everyone dislikes them. If the publicity is the opposite, it's the opposite!"

He also went on to criticise former Real Madrid left back Fabio Coentrao who, like Mourinho and Cristiano, is Portuguese and was also represented by super agent Mendes at the time. "[Coentrao] is a moron. That's one of the effects of Madrid. He's another one without a good head on his shoulders, and Madrid eats these guys alive. Right now he's scared sh*tless and Mourinho is an imbecile. It's not as if he doesn't want to play. Well, he's not all there. He drives without a licence. That said, the pressure has overwhelmed him and he's sick [in the head]. But the other guy [in a hypothetical car crash] wouldn't care that he's sick because he'd have killed him", he said.
