Kubo move saves Real Madrid a million euros
The island side will pay 500k in terms of a fee and 500k for Kubo's salary
Kubo has joined Mallorca on loan and it has saved Real Madrid a million euros. Why did he go there when it seemed everything was settled for the Japanese 18-year-old to go to Valladolid?
It's a question of money. Villarreal didn't want to pay a loan fee, but Mallorca are paying 500k for the midfielder, per Telemadrid. Meanwhile they will also pay for 500k in salary too - saving Madrid 1 million euros which Valladolid would not have paid.
Kubo is a Japanese international and used to play for Barcelona's youth team before leaving to FC Tokyo in 2015.
