Kashima Antlers 2-4 Real Madrid (aet): Ronaldo hat-trick wins CWC

Cristiano Ronaldo scored a hat-trick as Real Madrid beat Kashima Antlers to win the Club World CUp, their second in three years, in Hiroshima.

The European champons are now 37 games unbeaten, with this victory starting when Karim Benzema tucked home early on. However Gaku Sibasaki netted either side of half-time, before Cristiano Ronaldo pulled his team level from the penalty spot.

Keylor Navas made some fine saves as the host side pushed on, and Sergio Ramos avoided a clear red card just before the 90 minutes was up.

In extra-time Ronaldo netted another two goals from close range to seal the victory for his side.

It ends an impressive year for Los Blancos, who won the Champions League and are six points clear in La Liga.
