The Real Madrid coach is close to being axed and could be gone this week
Julen Lopetegui, Real Madrid coach, lamented the team's latest defeat, their fourth in five games.
"Right now that (the sack) is the last thing that I'm thinking about," Lopetegui said after the 2-1 home defeat by Levante. "We have to sit down and think hard about what we are doing wrong and change our path. The ball is just not going in. We have to just keep trying and not worrying, because the team did many things right today.
"I think that we deserved to win today clearly, but football is how it is, the team who scores the most goals is the one who wins. My players don't deserve this punishment, we play in the Champions League on Tuesday and we need to recover."
