Julen Lopetegui doesn't want La Liga games in the USA
The Real Madrid coach backs the stance of the players and hopes it does not come to pass
Real Madrid coach Julen Lopetegui says he does not want La Liga to hold fixtures in the United States.
The Los Blancos manager backed the stance of the players' association (AFE).
"We've got other things on our plate, but I'm aware of the issue and fully support the players' stance," said Lopetegui.
"There are arguments to support their views and, to be honest, I just can't see it myself. Those who make the decisions will ultimately decide, but I'm with the players on this one."
Madrid face Girona on Sunday in Catalonia, where they lost 2-1 last season.
