Frankfurt will demand as much as 80 million euros for the Serbian hotshot

Real Madrid's emergence in the pursuit of Eintracht Frankfurt striker Luka Jovic has had consequences already: the German club could demand even more for the Serbian striker, at least 80 million euros. That's more than the 60 million Madrid chief Florentino Peerez was ready to pay for the goal getter.

Jovic, who Barcelona have also been following, has recently expressed a desire to continue at Frankfurt. He's happy in the German city and, at 21, is wary that he could leave too soon. It's important for him to keep playing minutes as he develops as a footballer.

Frankfurt, though, know that sooner or later he will leave the club with a number of suitors already on the scene. They could take advantage of that to initiate a bidding war. Even though they're in no rush to sell Jovic, they're more than aware of everything that's going on.

Jovic was on a two-year loan deal at the Bundesliga side from Benfica. However, they confirmed last week that they'd taken up their option to make the deal permanent. Bayern Munich are among the other sides following his development closely.
