Isak ignores Real Madrid interest and signs for Borussia Dortmund
The Swedish 17-year-old joins the Bundesliga club on a deal until 2022
Alexander Isak has signed for Borussia Dortmund. Reports claimed the teenage Swedish striking sensation was set to snub Real Madrid for the German club and that has proved the case.
Isak, who has also been followed by Barcelona before the Catalan club decided against making a move for him, joins Dortmund after they reached a deal with his current club, AIK Solna.
The numbers of the operation have not been revealed, but it's thought the Bundesliga have spent around 10 million euros and the player's signed a deal until 2022.
Despite seeming close to agreeing a deal to sign for Madrid, the 17-year-old reportedly made his decision based on the chances of progressing to Dortmund's first team in the immediate future.
He was in Dortmund at the weekend with his family and agent where he signed the deal.
