Florentino Perez accelerates to get ahead in Haaland race
The Madrid president is interested in signing the Dortmund striker
Florentino Perez wants to lure Erling Haaland to Real Madrid, as well as Kylian Mbappe. There are some doubts about the French player coming so Haaland is a live issue still.
Madrid have made an offer to the Dortmund forward and are convinced that they can sign him. Madrid have gone quickly, aware Barcelona and Man City are interested too.
Haaland’s future could be decided in March. The forward will tell his club his decision in the coming weeks and then make a final call.
Madrid know they need a top level forward and Mbappe and Haaland are the two who are set to mark the next decade.
Madrid, if they reach a deal with Haaland, would sign him in the summer. In Germany they say that Madrid might leave him for a year in Germany until 2023, when Benzema’s contract ends. However Madrid will want to make immediate use of such a big investment.
