Incidencias

Partido correspondiente a la jornada 26 de la Liga Santander disputado en el RCDE Stadium ante 19.805 espectadores.

Despite Madrid's injuries - Modric, Kroos, Casemiro, Marcelo - Zidane rested Cristiano Ronaldo entirely and benched Carvajal and Benzema. He gave chances to Gareth Bale, Asensio, Isco, and they spurned it.

Espanyol were the better side, with Moreno seeing Navas save well from him early on, before he scored but it was wrongly ruled out for offside. Gareth Bale had an effort blocked by Victor Sanchez's arm but it was not a handball.

Oscar Duarte hit the bar with a header in the second half and the hosts were the better side, eventually getting their reward when Moreno struck in the final seconds, with his effort taking a small deflection off Varane and beating Navas.
