Dani Ceballos is the next problem Real Madrid must deal with
The midfielder will return after his loan spell with Arsenal and Zidane has no intention of using him next season
Real Madrid are about to add another problem to their ever-growing pile of players who don't have a future at the club. Gareth Bale and James Rodriguez have been dropped from Los Blancos squad for the match against Manchester City so will once again be available for sale this summer. However, Dani Ceballos is the next person to return and he too doesn't have a future at Madrid whilst Zinedine Zidane is in charge. It doesn't appear as if Arsenal will take up the option to make his move permanent.
This means Madrid will look to offload Ceballos during a transfer window which has been complicated by the coronavirus outbreak. According to SPORT sources, Ceballos earns around €6m per season at Madrid which limits the clubs who could afford to take over his wages.
You should add Mariano Diaz's name to that 'unwanted' list too. He earns around €10m per season. Madrid must clear out these players before they can even think about signing anybody else. It also complicates any plans to bring Martin Odegaard back early. Florentino Perez is going to have a busy summer on his hands.
