Dani Carvajal out for two months with knee ligament injury
The Madrid defender will miss at least 12 games and the two international breaks
Bad news for Zinedine Zidane. Dani Carvajal is injured. According to the club's medical services, the right back suffered a knee ligament injury. He is expected to be out for around two months - missing at least 12 games, including the Clasico at the end of October.
Carvajal's absence is a problem. The only natural right back in the squad other than Carvajal is Alvaro Odriozola, who has not convinced the French coach. Nacho has played there in the past. Madrid sold Achraf Hakimi to Inter Milan this summer.
Carvajal was included in the Spain squad by Luis Enrique on Friday but he will have to drop out of that too. He joins Toni Kroos and Eden Hazard on the sidelines.
