Dani Carvajal has broken Gareth Bale's streak of scoring Madrid's first goal of the season. The Welshman has netted first in La Liga in each of the past three seasons. This time it was Carvajal who headed home to break the deadlock against Getafe at the Santiago Bernabeu.
The defender nodded in after Bale's cross was deflected away by goalkeeper Soria, with Carvajal's header sinking over the stopper and into the net.
Bale then added the second goal himself with a powerful effort that Soria should have kept out but failed to. Bale is standing out in the absence of Cristiano Ronaldo, who has moved to Juventus.
