Cristiano Ronaldo's private plane makes crash landing in Barcelona

The star's Gulfstream G200, which is worth 19 million euros, suffered a fault upon landing at El Prat

Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo’s private plane suffered an accident on Monday night when it landed at Barcelona airport.

The landing gear of the Gulfstream G200 -- which the Portuguese international acquired around one year ago -- broke down and forced airport authorities to close one of the runways of the airfield.

SPORT has been told that no-one was hurt and, as expected, the player was not travelling on the plane at the time.

Remember that on Monday the Real Madrid squad travelled to Germany to face Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday in the UEFA Champions League, with the match eventually ending 2-2.

Ronaldo’s plane, from the the prestigious American company Gulfstream, is state of the art and is regularly used by the player to travel to see his friends and family.

Examples of this include his regular trips to Morocco or the day he went to London for the screening of the film about his life.
