Courtois: "I'm one of the best even if the Spanish media hates me"
The goalkeeper hit back at his critics following yet another error against Russia
The controversy surrounding Thibaut Courtois shows no sign of slowing down. In fact, it's getting even worse. This time with Belgium the goalkeeper caused a major error which saw Russia get back on level terms. Luckily for Courtois, his side were able to turn it around and win 3-1.
After being dropped by Zidane and coupled with his off the field issues, the criticism towards Courtois is increasing. However the former Chelsea stopper isn't fazed by the question marks hanging over his head. "I still consider myself one of the best, despite the fact the Spanish press want to kill me. I feel really strong, realxed because I trained and played well."
On social media, Courtois also spoke on his recent match. "You always learn from your mistakes."
