Carlo Ancelotti has his Clasico XI decided for Sunday

The Italian is from the 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it' school of thought

Real Madrid are preparing for the Clasico. Carlo Ancelotti will use the same plan that worked on Tuesday night in Kiev, where they smashed Shakhtar Donetsk. A team in which each player is in their natural position apart from Lucas Vazquez, who is standing in for right back Dani Carvajal.

Ancelotti has been without much of his first team through the season and improvised where necessary, but finally the bulk of his players are approaching fitness.

The defence will be Vazquez, Militao, Alaba and Ferland Mendy. Midfield, Casemiro, Kroos, Modric.

And up front, Vinicius and Benzema plus most likely Rodrygo. Ancelotti is a coach who prefers not to fix what isn’t broken and the team executed the plan to leave their crisis behind them well, so they will use it again.
