Barcelona and Real Madrid to fight for Salzburg striker Adeyemi

The German international is being watched by all of Europe's biggest clubs

RB Salzburg striker Karim Adeyemi is also being targetted by Real Madrid. Barcelona's interest in the youngster is well known -- and they're in a good position -- but Los Blancos have also entered the hunt.

Adeyemi, 19, is the top scorer in Austria. He has scored 11 goals in 15 league games and 15 in 25 in all competitions. He's more affordable than Erling Haaland, too, with his price originally around 20 million euros, although Borussia Dortmund have already offered 35 million in an attempt to see off the competition.

Therefore, the cost could rise towards 50 million, although that's still cheaper than Haaland, who, including fees, commission and wages, will cost much more. In addition to Barça, Madrid and Dortmund, Bayern Munich, Liverpool, Atletico Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain are also after Adeyemi.

Erling Haaland is the second objective Madrid have on their agenda to strengthen in attack. There's all sorts of speculation, such as he already has a verbal agreement with the club, but they would have to fulfil a number of sporting conditions (starting a certain amount of games) and, above all, financial ones, such as having up to 220 million available for the fee, commission and wages.

One of the conditions Madrid must fulfil to land Haaland or Adeyemi is having space for them. They currently have three central strikers in Karim Benzema, (33 years old) Jovic (24 this month) and Mariano (28). Benzema has a contract until 2023 but the club want to extend it until 2024. Jovic cost 60 million but hasn't settled. With a deal until 2025, he has to look for a new team. Mariano has hardly featured but has sat on his contract, which expires in 2023.

Meanwhile, there are 28 days to go until they can re-launch their move for PSG's Kylian Mbappe, who is free to talk to other clubs from Jan. 1 with his contract expiring. He could have a salary worth 20 million net, which would be compensated with Gareth Bale leaving. The Welsh forward earns 15 million net.

Haaland would demand the same Mbappe, which would oblige Madrid to lose another big earner in the shape of Eden Hazard. The Belgian earns the same as Bale. From there, Madrid would have to agree on a fee, with Manchester United reportedly ready to pay over €100 million plus commissions to agent Mino Raiola even though it's been said he has a lower release clause.
