The Welshman didn't train with his teammates in the Spanish capital on Monday

Real Madrid trained at Valdebebas on Monday before their trip to Munich, where they will take on Premier League side Tottenham in the Audi Cup.

After their tour of Canada and the United States, which ended with a 7-3 loss to Atletico Madrid, the squad are back in Europe preparing for the new season.

"Los Blancos held a demanding morning session at Real Madrid City before traveling to Munich to play in the Audi Cup. Fede Valverde, who had already been training in Madrid, joined the group. Casemiro, James and Militão started their pre-seasons. The three completed the warm-up with the group and then did some running and specific ball work," Madrid said in a statement.

The coach, Zinedine Zidane, called up Castilla players Kubo, Seoane, De la Fuente and Javi Hernández and under-19 player Miguel Gutiérrez.

Madrid added: "After the warm-up, the Whites did different possession and pressing exercises. Finally, they played a game in a small space.

"Varane worked alone out on the pitch, while Bale and Jović worked inside. Meanwhile, Asensio, Brahim and Mendy continue with their respective recovery processes."

Zidane has already said that he doesn't count on Bale, even though he's played during preseason.
