According to 'AS', the young full-back's performance against Chelsea was proof he could do a job next season

Alvaro Odriozola will be part of Real Madrid's first-team squad next season according to 'AS'. This decision apparently came after the 24-year-old's impressive performance for Bayern Munich against Chelsea in the Champions League. It hasn't exactly gone the way Odriozola - or Madrid - would've liked at Bayern this year but he's done enough to prove he deserves a chance at the Bernabeu next season.

Ever since January, Odriozola has only played five matches for Bayern. The only bright spots have come in Europe. It was a similar story for the full-back under Zidane and the idea of moving him to Bayern was so he'd get more regular playing time.

Odriozola is under contract until 2024 at Madrid but after the club sold Hakimi to Inter, there appears to be a spot open for him to challenge Dani Carvajal for a starting place at right-back.
