The defender's injury hit season continues and he won't face his ex this time

Paris Saint-Germain defender Sergio Ramos will miss this week's Champions League game against his former side Real Madrid due to a muscle injury, according to the French club.

However, former Barça striker Neymar does seem set to return to the PSG squad, although he's unlikely to be fit to start given he is returning from being out injured for over two months.

"Sergio Ramos will continue to train on his own following his calf injury," PSG said Monday. "A further update will be provided in a week's time."

At 36, Ramos joined PSG on a free transfer from Madrid last summer, with the two sides to meet in the first leg of their last 16 tie on Tuesday in Paris.

So far, he's been restricted to just five appearances due to injuries, scoring one goal. The Spain international will hope to be fit for the return leg at the Bernabeu in March.

On Neymar, coach Mauricio Pochettino said: "My decision is made whether he will play tomorrow or not, but I won't say anything for the moment."
