The French club have not given up on getting Mbappe to extend his contract

Paris Saint-Germain are doing all they can to tie down star player Kylian Mbappe to a new deal. His current terms expire in June but the club are doing all they can to convince him to remain part of the project beyond then.

According to Le Parisien, PSG have made the France forward a new renewal offer. Said offer is a two-year deal with a 50 million euros annual salary, as well as a renewal bonus worth 100 million euros.

It's a "golden contract," as defined by the French media outlet.

Mbappe has been strongly linked with a move to Real Madrid, who bud for him last summer, but in comments at the weekend he appeared to suggest he could yet stay in Paris, despite everything previously pointing to a free transfer to the Bernabeu.

Speaking after the win over Saint-Etienne, he suggested he wanted to become PSG's top scorer of all time, a target which is unlikely to be within his reach this season.

It's given PSG hope that they could persuade him to stay.
