Kylian Mbappe: I asked to leave PSG in July
The French striker will go for free to Real Madrid next summer
PSG forward Kylian Mbappe has admitted he asked to leave the club in July.
“I asked to go because at the moment I did not want to renew, I wanted that the club could have a transfer fee to get a good replacement,” he said on RMC on Monday.
With these words, he seems to suggest his decision to leave is irreversible, with Mbappe set to join Real Madrid next summer for free now.
The player, who turns 23 in November, said that he tried to leave early in the summer “so the club could adapt”.
In the end, they didn’t let him leave and Mbappe has been the team’s best player in the early weeks of the season.
