The former Real Madrid boss is not in a rush to return to coaching

Jose Mourinho's been officially sacked as Manchester United coach and the candidates to replace him are slowly emerging.

Among the options is Zinedine Zidane, the former Real Madrid coach. However, SPORT can confirm that the Frenchman will not take over at Old Trafford -- at least not in the short-term.

Zidane is clear that he wants to continue enjoying some downtime after almost three years in charge of Madrid, where he won three Champions Leagues.

He is in no rush to return to the came and for that reason he's not seduced by the idea of taking over at United mid-season, with the club struggling in the Premier League.

Of course, in the long run, he does want to return to the bench, but it will have to be something which excited him more than United currently does.

It will be difficult to match the success he had at Madrid -- and he would never rule out a return to the Bernabeu -- but he's likely to remain out of work until at least the summer.
