The midfielder's set to leave Liverpool when his contract expires this summer

Georginio Wijnaldum's agent Humphry Nijman has opened the door to a summer move to Bayern Munich in an interview with Sport 1.

"Wijnaldum's a free agent (in the summer) and is keeping all options open," he said. "Bayern are a great club. If they're interested in him, they can feel free to talk to us."

The Dutch midfielder is finishing his fifth season with Liverpool and has still not renewed his contract, suggesting he will leave for nothing when the campaign ends.

Bayern are not the only side linked with him. Barcelona have also shown interest in the past and tried to sign him last summer.

Wijnaldum is well known by Barça coach Ronald Koeman from his time with the Dutch national team and it was Koeman that led the push for his signing last year.

The ex-Newcastle United player is one of the most important players at Liverpool, who he joined in 2016 for 20 million euros.

This season, he has played 47 games, missing just one in the Champions League and another in the Carabao Cup. In total, he's played 233 times for the Reds and scored 22 goals.

Aged 30, he's now looking likely to take on a new challenge away from Anfield, where he's won a Premier League and a Champions League.
