Games would be played in select locations and behind closed doors

The Premier League could opto to play all of the league's remaining games in the summer. It would be done in a way similar to an international tournament, with teams all staying in isolated camps and in the same city. The games would be played behind closed doors.

According to The Independent, Premier League executives are scrambling to come up with a plan to be able to play the 92 games that still need to be played. One of the options on the table, depending on how the Covid-19 pandemic progresses, offers a novel approach that would see “World Cup-style” camps in the midlands and London over June and July.

Every day, a number of games would be played. The players would have to be isolated from their families, as would officials, although the problems come when it comes to having the right medical cover for the games. It would not be viewed as an essential event so, if the curve has not flattened, it would not be right to take medical teams away from the front line.

That's why the summer months -- June and July -- have been touted as more possible dates for the season to end, rather than May.
