Spurs could move for Alemany after Barça confirmed he will leave on Sept. 2
Mateu Alemany will step down as sporting director at FC Barcelona in the next few days and it is now Tottenham who are bidding hardest for his services.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the English club are seriously considering Alemany as an option for the position and are thinking about bringing him in for September. Tottenham are in a process of transition after the departure of Harry Kane, striker and club legend.
The former Barça director will leave the club on Sept. 2. His name was already in the orbit of another big Premier League club, in that case it was Aston Villa who came very close to signing the Mallorcan.
Now it will be Deco who will take Mateu's place in the Culé offices. The Brazilian has the confidence of Joan Laporta and his board to take over from Alemany, a man who has made big signings since arriving at Camp Nou.
