Official: Manchester United confirm the signing of Van de Beek
The midfielder, who was linked with Barça, joins United in a €45m deal
Donny van de Beek is now a Manchester United player. The English club have officially announced the signing of van de Beek in a deal worth €45m and he's penned a five-year contract, with an option to add another.
The Dutch midfielder becomes United's first signing of the summer. Van de Beek joins Pogba and Bruno Fernandes as attacking options for Solskjaer. Their original targets were James Maddison and Jack Grealish but Leicester City and Aston Villa both demanded closer to €85m.
Right now van de Beek is on international duty with Holland and will join up with United next week. This is unlikely to be the Premier League giants only move in this window as their main objective this summer is Borussia Dortmund's Jadon Sancho.
